Happy New Year Everybody!
First Friday of the year… hope everyone’s wrapping up a productive week.
I am excited for 2023. For one reason, I am heading to New Orleans in February and will attending the National 8a conference.
This will be my first time at this conference as well as my first one as a solopreneur. This is a big deal and investment for me!
A bit of a back story, this time last year, I endure my first “badge-flip” when the “day-job” company I had worked for year was sold to another entity. They did everything they could to make me leave: took away the stuff I told them I wanted, and gave me more stuff I didn’t…
Anyway, that experience really motivated and energized me to keep grinding smarter and harder at my “side-hustle.”
Due to a business referral from a friend (and now a business partner) I price a proposal for an 8a company last year. She was so happy with my work that she told another 8a company about my services at last year’s 8a conference in Orlando.
The next time I spoke with her, she told me about it and hoped I didn’t mind… heck no!! I am eternally grateful for that referral and I have done multiple project for both of those business last year and expect to this year when they have pricing needs!
So it’s worth the investment to #PTW to attend this years 8a #govcon conference this year and I am so looking forward to it! I made this video to share with these folks in case they are looking for more 8a companies in Louisiana to join them at the conference.
I know I will see many friends, clients, and prospects there.
